About Industry 4.0 Summit

This century is coined the 4th Industrial revolution and the 2016 World Economic Forum(WEF) in Davos focused heavily on how Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent machines driven by Internet of things (IoT) will transform our world. The WEF reports that the resulting shifts and disruptions mean that we live in a time of great promise and great peril. The world has the potential to connect billions more people to digital networks, dramatically improve the efficiency of organizations and even manage assets in ways that can help regenerate the natural environment, potentially undoing the damage of previous industrial revolutions.

Is this digital era going to benefit Africa or perpetuate underdevelopment? What are the future opportunities for entrepreneurs?, Will there be a net gain or loss of Jobs? How will healthcare, banking, education and agriculture be disrupted by exponential technologies?

Come Join us at the summit to be held on the 4th August 2016 at Regenesys Business School, Sandton (Johannesburg). In this event we will be looking at how Exponential Technologies (Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Synthetic Biology, 3D printing etc) in the 4th Industrial Revolution will shape Africa. Will this coming revolution driven by IoT be peril or opportunity? Join key business leaders across business, government and civil society (managers, directors, decision makers and entrepreneurs) in attendance.

“You cannot wait until a house burns down to buy fire insurance on it. We cannot wait until there are massive dislocations in our society to prepare for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.” Robert J. Shiller, 2013 Nobel laureate in economics, Professor of Economics, Yale University
